Read good books too \u2013 yes, of course, but be careful [what you read]!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nThat is how Peter and John got their boldness. The Greek word parrhesia in Acts 4:13 is variously translated as \u201cboldness\u201d, \u201cconfidence\u201d, \u201ccourage\u201d or \u201cwithout fear\u201d. What gives that boldness and fearlessness? Time with Jesus. They were, of course, filled with the Holy Spirit. One more thing: \u201cthey\u201d (meaning the Sanhedrin, the Jewish leaders) were \u201castonished\u201d, \u201camazed\u201d at Peter and John. How could uneducated men astonish people like that? Time with Jesus. Mind you, they had three years to be taught by Jesus! They were ready for ministry when Jesus went to Heaven. I\u2019m afraid no one nowadays \u2013 in a wicked world and a sleeping church \u2013 is astonished by any of us. So sad. But let us all do our best to find out what pleases the Lord.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nConsidering RT Kendall\u2019s recent direction, I [most<\/em> strongly<\/em>] believe that we [the children of the Living GOD<\/em>] are being called to a time of prayer \u2026!<\/p>\n\n\n\nNB - May I recommend that we all take some time alone in our quiet places and bring a pen and something to write on so that we can record what the Lord speaks to us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
