Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nMany (many) years ago, I was starting up my business and had just employed my first web designer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We seemed to be working well together, and without giving too much information, he told me that he\u2019d been let down on the deposit for a house for his wife and kids. He needed an \u2018x\u2019 amount by a specific date, but the alternative monies he\u2019d procured wouldn\u2019t be in place by the time the bank required them. As such, could I \u2018loan\u2019 him the amount in question? He \u2018promised\u2019 to pay everything back by such and such a date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It so happened that my wife and I were in the process of looking for a house and had saved up our own deposit money. Anyway, as I couldn\u2019t see any harm and yet totally against my wife\u2019s wishes - I released the money to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I should have listened to my wife... apparently, he used the money to pay off some of his huge debts and then went bankrupt\u2014we lost everything!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The worst part wasn\u2019t the fact that I felt I\u2019d been so perfectly conned, but that I had to listen to my wife sobbing for weeks over my abject stupidity \u2026 I could feel the Lord on my case for days asking me to forgive him and that He'd help me, but I couldn\u2019t (wouldn\u2019t). In fact, I became so embittered in my quest for revenge that I became pretty ill\u2026!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three or four weeks later, I had a dream where I saw him screaming and sobbing in fear as he desperately tried to stop himself from sliding down a slimy, horrid hole straight into the mouth of hell! Instead of contentment at his predicament, I found myself screaming and trying to help! Crying in anguish, I awoke abruptly and straight away felt the Lord\u2019s Presence and heard him say, \u201cBut isn\u2019t this what you wanted? You wouldn\u2019t listen to me or forgive him, and so \u2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nFor the next week, all I did was pray and intercede for his soul. After that, the Lord Blessed me incredibly (I\u2019d like to say that the blessing involved getting all the money back that we\u2019d lost [which we did]. Still, the more tremendous blessing (to me) was losing my stupid, stubborn pride and recognising that I needed to involve the Lord and my wife in ALL my decisions! (Ecc 4:12) A threefold cord is not quickly broken.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nAre your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Please also pray for a quick and full healing for Jay after a total knee operation and give your power of healing to those who minister to their needs so that they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care.
