He is the ultimate slanderer, the accuser of the brethren and the origin of rebellion against GOD by being the first to express discontentment with the lot in life GOD had assigned him.<\/p>\n\n\n\nWhen we show ingratitude toward GOD and complain about His ways, we speak the serpent\u2019s native tongue, and his venom is already at work, quick to poison our hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The solution to the poison coursing through our veins is repentance. The Israelites went to Moses and said, \u201cWe have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD and you; intercede with the LORD, that He may remove the serpents from us\u201d<\/em> (Numbers 21:7). Their words encapsulate the Gospel message. Jesus is our Moses, the serpent is the devil, and we are the sinners. If we want to be healed and delivered from the serpent's poison, then we need to repent, confess our sins and seek forgiveness through the blood of Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\nHaving said all that, we should also be quick to forgive others because we know that a person asking GOD for forgiveness should not be so cruel as to withhold it from others. i.e., forgive and hand them over to GOD so He can deal with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
