Me:<\/strong> God, can I ask you something?<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> Sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me:<\/strong> Promise you won\u2019t get mad?<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> I promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me:<\/strong> Why did you let so much 'stuff' happen to me today?<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> What do you mean?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me:<\/strong> Well, I woke up late - 'really' late!<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD: <\/strong>Yes<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me:<\/strong> My car took forever to start,<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> Okay\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me (sighing): <\/strong>They made my sandwich completely wrong at lunch, and I had to wait for someone else to come and make what I asked for - even though I didn't have the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> Hmmmm..<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me:<\/strong> On the way home, my phone went dead; just as I picked up a call<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> All right<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me (loudly):<\/strong> And to top it all off, when I got home, I just wanted to soak my feet in my foot massager and relax, but it wouldn\u2019t work. Nothing went right today! Why did you let all that happen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> Well now, let me see\u2026.. the death angel was at your bed this morning, and so I sent one of my angels to battle him for your life. I decided to let you sleep through that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me (shocked):<\/strong> Oh\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> I didn\u2019t let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have certainly hit you if you were on the road at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me (ashamed):<\/strong> Ouch<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> The first person who made your sandwich today was sick, and I didn\u2019t want you or anyone else to catch what they had, so I sent them home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me (embarrassed):<\/strong> Doh\u2026..<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> Your phone went dead because the person who was calling was going to give a false witness about what you said on that call; I didn\u2019t even let you talk to them so you would be covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me (softly):<\/strong> I am so sorry...<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> Oh, and that foot massager had an electrical short that would have thrown out all the power in your house. I didn\u2019t think you wanted to be in the dark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me (softly):<\/strong> I am so sorry...<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> Don\u2019t be sorry; learn to trust me - in all things, the good 'and' the bad<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me:<\/strong> I WILL trust you, God<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> And don\u2019t doubt that my plan for your day is always better than your plan<\/p>\n\n\n\n Me:<\/strong> I won\u2019t, God. And please let me say, God, thank you for everything today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n GOD:<\/strong> You\u2019re welcome, child.
