(Isaiah 40:29) “He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength."

I was tired, harassed and extremely capricious today. Yes, I (moodily) asked for Grace. Yes, I prayed (albeit half-heartedly). And by the time I dragged myself away from 'my' stuff to sit at His feet long enough to hear what He wanted to say to you, I was totally stressed and extremely fidgety - I just wanted to get back to 'my' schedule!

At that point, the Lord put the above Scripture into my heart, and it took me a while to understand...

I'm sure you've skim-read this Scripture a bazillion times. You've probably underscored it, coloured it in your Bible, bookmarked it, bought the fridge magnet, tattooed it onto your inner eyelids, etc. But what does it 'mean' to you?

To me (now, today), this means that GOD sees what I'm up against (i.e. me) and 'offers' to provide strength and renewed energy when I am weary or exhausted, giving me the ability to persevere and continue.

The offer was given, and I gratefully accepted it! He has delivered me from the sin of subjecting myself to 'my' desires and brought me freedom from that captivity!

Hallelujah. Now I feel free again. My 'Redeemer' truly lives!
