Obsession with self… is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. Focusing on the self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what he is doing. And God isn’t pleased at being ignored. (Rom 8:6)

Well, I know that I’m certainly not pleased at being ignored. How often have we older ones offered our loved ones advice - based on hard-won wisdom and then watched them ignore it – to their own hurt.

Father GOD, I know that quite a few of the people reading this have got problems right now that seem to be ‘Ouch Big’ and taking up all their thoughts!

Help us all to see that You are ‘WOW Bigger’!!!
