All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too. (2 Cor 1:3)
Just as when people are having a vitamin deficiency problem and need to receive a course of treatment through either correct medication or food. So when our levels are low, GOD seems to put us alongside someone who has more than enough. The trouble is that this particular individual might not be quite what we’d expect – or even like! So we’re faced with dismissing the healing through rejection of the messenger…!
For example, I'd just come out of a horrible battle with cancer and the ugly treatments thereof. My business had all but died; money was extremely tight for my family when someone graciously threw me a lifeline project. It was extremely technical, and after losing all my staff, I was searching desperately for someone to perform the technical tasks.
Then, someone at Church recommended a young guy to me. I called him and, during the call, found him rude and aggravating to the point of being offensive.
I almost slammed the phone down in frustration, and then in the darkness of decision came the 'still small voice' that calmly told me to call him back and apologise for 'my' intolerant attitude towards him! I couldn't believe it ... Anyway, I called him back and apologised. Long story short, we actually became good friends - not only did he deliver on phase one of my project, but we got the larger phase two without even pitching!
Lord, open our eyes to not judging and the Joy of following You and Your Wisdom today.
Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.” (Rev 3:6)
