(John 1:29) “Look! There he is—God’s Lamb! He will take away the sins of the world!”
THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS ...
I'm writing this today for 'you' ...you know who you are!
I’d heard all about Jesus. In fact, I thought that I was a good Catholic. I'd been in the choir, even an Altar boy, and even though I was 'outwardly' practising inwardly, I was thoroughly hooked on the pleasures of sin.
The path I had chosen looked good externally—plenty were walking along it, and it was wide enough for many more—but it wasn’t more than a dead end, and (with hindsight) following it ensured I’d never ‘see’ Jesus—no matter where I looked. The harshness of living (in my sin), the abject disappointment (of living in my sin), and copious amounts of Jack Daniels (to cloud my sin) were successfully hiding him from my eyes.
I had witnessed over 30 Christmases and still had yet to see Jesus. Then GOD, in his mercy, began to reveal Jesus to me—in his Children!
His Grace opened the eyes of my heart—and I finally saw the Jesus that GOD sent to set us all free.
GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “It is never too late for Me. Stop stressing and listen to My Voice—My love will guide you. Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.”
Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Daniela, Kristina, Paul, Roger, Alastair, Ian, Alex, Alexander, Lynette, James, Keiron, Samantha, Jay, Liliana, Maria, Susanna, and those you bring to our minds right now… Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
