(Matthew 7:12) “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."
THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS ...
In 15 days, we will celebrate again the Gift our Heavenly Father gave us of Jesus, reenacting this glorious event by showing our love for each other by giving and receiving gifts.
No matter what poison the Media spouts, Jesus tells us in the above Scripture that it isn't a sign of insecurity to want to bless those you love. And even though the event itself only lasts a short time, many of us will have been stressing ourselves silly as we prepare as perfect a time as possible!
But what about the receiving end? How are we when it comes to showing appreciation, kindness, or love for the gifts we receive? Does a 'special day' really need to elicit a heartfelt show of gratitude or pleasure from us?
Remember, 'Gift Day' is coming, and we have the power to 'choose' to either promote the proverb that 'familiarity breeds contempt' or remember why we love the giver, our partners, friends, or family members and begin showing respect again for them.
GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “Stop stressing and listen to My Voice—My love will guide you. Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.”
Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Daniela, Kristina, Paul, Roger, Alastair, Ian, Alex, Alexander, Lynette, James, Keiron, Samantha, Jay, Liliana, Maria, Susanna, and those you bring to our minds right now… Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
