(Matthew 8:1) "... a leper appeared and went to his knees before Jesus, praying, “Master, if you want to, you can heal my body.” Jesus reached out and touched him, saying, “I want to. Be clean.” Then and there, all signs of the leprosy were gone. Jesus said, “...Your cleansed and grateful life, not your words, will bear witness to what I have done.”

THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS ...

It seems that Francis of Assisi really took our Lord's words to heart when he wrote the following:

“Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words if necessary.”

"The deeds you do may be the only sermon some persons will hear today."

And these two are beautifully encapsulated by yet another of his quotations: “Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received--only what you have given.”

GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “Stop stressing. My love will guide you—just do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.” 

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Paul, Roger, Alastair, Ian, Alex, Alexander, Lynette, James, Keiron, Samantha, Jay, Liliana, Maria, Susanna, and those you bring to our minds right now… Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
