Reason this out for yourself - we worship our GOD because we've learned that when we confess our sins (of either omission or commission), open our hearts and seek His forgiveness, then we are supernaturally absolved (and subsequently healed) of the awful and terrible consequences that were waiting for us.

Many of us will just put on our best ‘Christian Mask’, meet others with good religious fervour, and recite those well-rehearsed (yet fatuous) response words: “I’m doing alright, thanks!”

But … What if, we were honest? What if we actually did what Jesus told us to do …?

… Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. (James‬ ‭5:16)

“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.” (Rev 3:6‬)
