(John 5:34) [Jesus speaking] “… my purpose is not to get your vote, and not to appeal to mere human testimony. I’m speaking to you this way so that you will be saved.”

Jesus knew we'd have difficulty following him, so Scripture records (John 6:61), "Jesus sensed that his disciples were having a hard time with this and said, “Does this throw you completely? … The Spirit can make life. Sheer muscle and willpower don’t make anything happen. Every word I’ve spoken to you is a Spirit-word, and so it is life-making. But some of you are resisting, refusing to have any part in this.” … “This is why I told you earlier that no one is capable of coming to me on his own. You get to me only as a gift from the Father.”

Holy Father, help me let go of my own ideas. I choose to 'hear' the voice of Jesus! I choose to 'follow' the directive commands of Jesus. I ask You to usher me to come to Jesus!

(GOD's Word to you) "Do not lose heart, my Child - Trust in Me enough to honour Me.” 

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Roger, Alastair, Ian, Alex, Alexander, Lynette, James, Keiron, Jay, Liliana, Maria, Susanna, and those you bring to our minds right now… Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
