(Galatians 5:4) "… in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior: faith expressed in love."
NB - I have deliberately chosen text from The Message Bible because its paraphrasing here is just so intelligently 'clear!'
So, our faith in GOD to intervene by doing something beautiful for someone through us will always be predominantly expressed through our love for them!
But ... (I hear you [and my own heart] say), what if I can't muster up this love? I can, at best, usually mumble a few words in a prayer, but how do I gather up this 'love' for them ...?
Well ... the Scripture goes on to tell us: … "What happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely… Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good—crucified. (Galatians 5:22-23)
(GOD's Word to you) "Do not lose heart, my Child - Trust in Me enough to honour Me.”
Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Roger, Alastair, Barbara (has had the 'all clear' so no further treatment. Hallelujah)! Ian, Alex, Alexander, Lynette, James, Keiron, Jay, Liliana, Maria, Susanna, and those you bring to our minds right now... Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
