No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the father cried, “Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!” (Mark‬ ‭9:19)

I was looking at a plant on our kitchen windowsill some time ago when this thought grew in my heart. You see, (to me) the plant was dead.

But nonplussed, my wife did whatever it is that gardeners do, and ‘hey presto’ green shoots began sprouting! Life and beauty return. A true revival. Hope is rewarded!

After speaking to my good friend Fabio last night, the only light I could see in the situation was the light of our Father's loving Face over him and his struggle, and that was enough - in fact, more than enough!

Then I got an email from my good friend Brad this morning, who told me how he'd started this year with absolutely "no oil left in his jars" and yet has finished the year with the statement, "I would be happy to place a stone at the end of this year and call 2023 ‘My Ebenezer’. The Lord is ace and has provided for every day."

Father, stir all the hearts that read this today. I ask that you break open the doors that WE have sealed shut through our doubts, fears, unbelief, and hardness of heart. I ask that Your Loving Words of LIFE and encouragement penetrate each and every one of us this day and show us just how AWESOME and CARING and LOVING and POWERFUL You truly are…! Amen!
