I read something somewhere where a woman was complaining that her best friend never seemed to be with her during her times of trial and pain, yet she always seemed to appear sometime later when things were fine again.

I’ve walked this path myself many times too over the years, and to be honest, I've found that coping with my own la la isn’t HALF as bad as trying to be there for those you love in their pain!

Nothing can ever prepare you for the tsunami of heart-wrenching tears and torrents of sharp-edged words that cut, slice, and tear at your very soul...

But I can testify that throughout all this - and sometimes in the very heart of the Storm, GOD does walk in and He does call out. He is Faithful. He is near to the heartbroken and those crushed in spirit.

Lord Jesus, help me to love as you do when all we seem able to do is hug and cry with them until You appear.
