(John 21:12) “Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord..”
Wow! God can appear, speak to us, and maybe even make us breakfast whenever and wherever He wants.
So, it’s not all about trying to ‘be’ the perfect Proverbs 31 woman or an Ephesians 5 man!
In GOD's eyes (and far too many Scriptures confirm it to list them all here), it’s about acknowledging the loving reality of an 'Emmanuel' GOD-with-us Presence throughout your day and trusting Him enough to keep bringing out the real you in you! (The one that only comes out when no one is looking)!
I had a horrible argument with my wife a while ago and ran off to lick my wounds in private. I was upset and didn't want to hear his voice, so I just sat in a cafe, sulked, and surfed the internet on my phone—but no matter how I scrolled, I was continually surprised by stories about 'forgiveness.' Finally, I quit sulking, went back home, and apologised.
I'm telling you this because I want you to 'allow' yourself to be surprised by GOD today—even if you don't recognise Him. He won't force anything onto you (maybe a nice breakfast), but once you've sat and spoken with Him, you'll be different and buzzing for days!
Holy Spirit, please touch the heart of whoever is reading this. Draw them into Your presence and show them that You continue to speak and answer prayers today. Amen.
Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Alastair, Barbara, Ian, Alex, Alexander, James, Keiron, Jay, Liliana, Maria, Susanna, and those you bring to our minds right now... Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
