(Matthew 26:39) “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

The older I get in Christ, the more I see that trouble comes for one reason: to try to drive a wedge between me and my Heavenly Father!

(Unlike you, I'm sure) I’ve probably messed up so often that the Angels have altogether given up recording me wailing, "Why me," or "Why this...?"

Having said all that, the ‘still, small voice’ of the Holy Spirit continues to break through my self-centredness to encourage me: “Child of Mine, I know this is painful for you, but just keep going and trust in Me enough to Honour Me.”

Holy Spirit, please touch the heart of whoever is reading this. Draw them into Your presence and show them that You continue to speak and answer prayers today. Amen. 

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Alastair, Barbara, Ian, Alex, Alexander, James, Keiron, Jay, Liliana, Maria, Susanna, and those you bring to our minds right now... Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
