(1 Corinthians 3:12) “...each one must be careful how he builds on it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ."
I just got this from a sister in Christ in response to yesterday's message and couldn't wait to share it ...
"I must admit you have hit on something I have seen a lot of lately and couldn't reconcile why it felt so wrong. The world wants a weak person following one thing after another and thinks it's unreasonable if they don't follow the latest thinking.
I have clung to God in this. I had a recurring dream many years ago, and I repeatedly asked God for an interpretation. Eventually, when I was out of the situation, God revealed the meaning, and so much then made sense.
In my dream, I saw some foundations. Several times, people were using pick axes to try to break up the foundations, but the foundations were never damaged in the slightest. A short distance away, a brick wall was being badly built. The bricks were shoddily put up, and there was mortar everywhere.
The meaning was that my values from Christ were the foundations that could not be damaged, and I was being forced to build a shoddy wall of temporary false values that didn't sit right with me.
Needless to say, the values represented in that wall have fallen by the wayside. New ones have since come into fashion, but I now stand proudly on my rock-solid foundations, knowing who they are based on. x"
Isn't that just awesome! Thank You, Jesus, for revealing this truth to our sister (and through her to us)!
Holy Spirit, please touch the heart of whoever is reading this. Draw them into Your presence and show them that You continue to speak and answer prayers today. Amen.
