(Job 3:25) "The worst of my fears has come true, what I’ve dreaded most has happened."

Yesterday's responses show that many of us have secret fears, and quite a few of us suffer from triggers where certain situations seem to reach out and (ever so loudly) ring our bell!

As I wrote a while ago, rather than let the flesh react, that's the time to pause and remember that is EXACTLY why Jesus came!

Like the Apostle Paul told us (2 Corinthians 12:9), "Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees… I begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness."

Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift.

It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.

Holy Spirit, please touch the heart of whoever is reading this. Draw them into Your presence and show them that You continue to speak and answer prayers today. Amen. ❤️

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Alastair, Barbara, Ian, James, Keiron, Jay, Liliana and Maria. Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 🙏
