(Psalm 62:5) "For God alone my soul waits in silence and quietly submits to Him, For my hope is from Him."

Patience (as my impulsive nature knows only too well) boils down to: ‘Is the proposed outcome actually worth the wait?’

In effect, (a) is what’s being promised to me better than what I was hoping for? And (b) ‘who’ is making me the promise?

For those who have met Jesus the Christ of GOD and have His Spirit Living ‘in us,’ His promises nonetheless challenge our stubborn wills as he will never ‘force’ his will on us.

(BUT), GOD knew this all along, and so our 'free-will' choices are covered by the Holy Spirit 'in us,' as His ‘still small voice’ tells us in Isaiah:

“Your teacher will be right there, local and on the job, urging you on whenever you wander left or right: “This is the right road. Walk down this road.” (Isa 30:21).

Holy Spirit, please touch the heart of whoever is reading this. Draw them into Your presence and show them that You continue to speak and answer prayers today. Amen. 

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—such as Barbara and Ian fighting cancer. We also pray for a quick and complete healing for James, Keiron, Jay and Liliana. Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
