Me: God, can I ask you something?

GOD: Sure.

Me: Promise you won’t get mad?

GOD: I promise.

Me: Why did you let so much 'stuff' happen to me today?

GOD: What do you mean?

Me: Well, I woke up late - 'really' late!

GOD: Yes

Me: My car took forever to start,

GOD: Okay….

Me (sighing): They made my sandwich completely wrong at lunch, and I had to wait for someone else to come and make what I asked for - even though I didn't have the time.

GOD: Hmmmm..

Me: On the way home, my phone went dead; just as I picked up a call

GOD: All right

Me (loudly): And to top it all off, when I got home, I just wanted to soak my feet in my foot massager and relax, but it wouldn’t work. Nothing went right today! Why did you let all that happen?

GOD: Well now, let me see….. the death angel was at your bed this morning, and so I sent one of my angels to battle him for your life. I decided to let you sleep through that.

Me (shocked): Oh…

GOD: I didn’t let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have certainly hit you if you were on the road at that time.

Me (ashamed): Ouch

GOD: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick, and I didn’t want you or anyone else to catch what they had, so I sent them home.

Me (embarrassed): Doh…..

GOD: Your phone went dead because the person who was calling was going to give a false witness about what you said on that call; I didn’t even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I am so sorry...

GOD: Oh, and that foot massager had an electrical short that would have thrown out all the power in your house. I didn’t think you wanted to be in the dark.

Me (softly): I am so sorry...

GOD: Don’t be sorry; learn to trust me - in all things, the good 'and' the bad

Me: I WILL trust you, God

GOD: And don’t doubt that my plan for your day is always better than your plan

Me: I won’t, God. And please let me say, God, thank you for everything today.

GOD: You’re welcome, child. It was just another day of being your God, and I love looking after my children.

Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death.” (Rev 2:11) ❤️

NB - Thank you so much for your continuing prayer support for Jean and Ian. I got the following really encouraging message direct from Jean this morning, "...It was a rather dark week and I was "out of the zone" I was rushed to hospital in an ambulance in the early hours of Wed and put on morphine. This severely affected me so no time with my Saviour. Now I'm sort of OK. Please thank everone for their prayers..."

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve your sick servant, and give your power of healing to those who minister to her needs so that she may be strengthened in her weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
