Jesus told Jairus, “… don’t yield to your fear. Have faith in me and she will live again.” (Luke 8:50)

I first met a truly beautiful man called Akin while we were working on a pitch to Shell South Africa.

I subsequently got to know him really well since we worked together on many projects, and will always remember something he said while we were together in Tunisia, "For you in the overabundant West, faith is like an accessory; you can either choose to wear it - or not! For us in Africa, though, with so few hospitals or doctors and nurses, faith is a necessity!"

Strange, isn't it how twenty years and things have turned around, and it takes us in our overabundant West forever to get to see a doctor or specialist!

But, as an anchor to the Soul, the words of Jesus remain constant in this troubled and ever-changing World, “… don’t yield to your fear. Have faith in me...!" (Luke 8:50)
