"Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you. If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath. Disciples so often get into trouble; still, God is there every time." (Psa 34:17)
Continuing yesterday's message that we all want (NEED) GOD's Grace?
Well, yesterday, I received two messages that broke my heart. I'm posting them 'as is' in the hope that you'll all join me in heart-felt prayer for those concerned and their families.
"This is Jean's last week in hospital. They're giving her one last shot of chemo, shoving steroids in and feeding her up and sending her home at the end of the week. Nothing more they can do... Claire (Jean's sister) was in bits Saturday night"
(From Ian) "Just had a scan following my radioactive iodine treatment. Awaiting results end of August. Other appointments ahead for other things. Never ending... I haven't heard anything. I need to be given the all clear please and then the all clear on my lungs and then the all clear on my neck which keeps swelling up."
Holy Father, Magnify Your Name and restore the health of these we lift up to You. Just as You, in Your Son Jesus, had compassion for the afflicted, we ask You to be with them now in their affliction, blessing them with the healing Grace of Your Presence. May these healings demonstrate Your great love and power, bringing Glory to Your Great Name.
The Holy Spirit led me to the Psalms, "O Lord my God, I cried to You, and You have healed me. O Lord, You have brought my life up from Sheol (the place of the dead); You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit (the grave). Sing to the Lord, O you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, but His favour is for a lifetime (or in His favour is life). Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." (Psa 30:2)
Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death.” (Rev 2:11)
