Here are some practical ways to get rid of the green-eyed monster.
- Recognize jealousy for what it is—deception. (The hardest part of killing jealousy is recognizing it.)
- Repent of jealousy—and idolatry. (At its root, jealousy is idolatry).
- Confront jealousy with the Joy of the Lord and start to count your Blessings.
The Holy Spirit reminds me that Joy comes from GOD, not from within. When we look within, we just get sad. As such, Heavenly Joy comes from GOD, who has invaded us, conquered us, and liberated us from eternal death and sadness—who has given us Hope and Joy because He has poured out His love within our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us."(Rom 5:5).
