Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. For by this [kind of] faith the men of old gained [divine] approval. (Heb 11:1).

If that doesn't ring your bell (loudly), how about this simpler transliteration from the Message Bible?

The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see. (Heb 11:1)

These past few days of testimonies have been about how GOD wants to step in and help us while we're facing our problems (demons, tsunamis, etc.)!

So, when everything around us ‘hits the fan’ (again)—when knickers are being knotted (again)—when we've all wonderfully impersonated headless chickens (again), and Google has been checked out for travelling mourners (again).

Whether we're being ripped off, abused, bullied, ridiculed at work, cancelled, or facing the 21st-century version of Pontius Pilate!

Surely, this is the time to give GOD the first, middle, last, best, and final word? In a nutshell, it doesn't matter what the world is saying—we can now (with Faith) hit the pause button in our hearts and ask: “Heavenly Father, you see all that is going on here. What do You say I should do?”

Our Heaven Father reminds me of Jesus's words in Luke 18, where he tells us a parable to the effect that "We ought always to pray and not lose heart." In fact, Jesus' answer to the question of how to endure to the end is, Pray! Pray! Pray! And don't grow weary of praying because when the time is right - our GOD WILL intervene!
