I was shopping in our local town the other day; it was incredibly hot, and people everywhere were looking for shade. As I came back to my car in the car park, I noticed a bunch of young mothers trying to load their children back in their cars. One of the poor mothers was trying her best to grab her young son and strap him into his baby seat while all the time he was screaming at the top of his little voice, "YOU'RE NOT MY REAL MOTHER! IF YOU WERE, YOU WOULD LOVE ME AND LET ME HAVE MORE ICE CREAM...!"

The embarrassment on her young face as she saw me spoke volumes!

It's so easy to judge others, but don't we ALL throw our toys out of the pram when we can't get our own way?

This reminded me of when my wife told me a while ago of a prominent worship leader who had openly questioned his faith. While everyone was busy judging him for speaking out (about things that we ALL have to deal with on a daily basis), I remind myself - but for the Grace of GOD …!

Lord of all Living Hope, I pray for everyone who is struggling in any way today to be met by You in their time of need. Amen.
