I’ll give you a new heart. I’ll put a new spirit in you. I’ll cut out your stone heart and replace it with a red-blooded, firm-muscled heart. Then you’ll obey my statutes and be careful to obey my commands. You’ll be my people! I’ll be your God! (Ezek 11:19).

Looking around at the older kids, I always wanted to be just like them. They always looked so cool and well put together, and here I was cycling around the square, my training wheels scraping on the asphalt and ever conscious of my father's hand holding onto my saddle.

But then, as I got braver, I asked for the training wheels to come off so I could go ride and play with them. I practised hard to be like them and can jump through hoops now and do truly amazing stunts ... but somehow, it's just not the same.

"Hey!" My new friends shout as I cycle away. "Where are you going?"

"Me...? I'm done with this. I'm going back home to spend some time with my Father."

As usual, I asked the Lord what He wanted to say, and He took me to this Psalm in the Message version “Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, (Psalm 46:10)

“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death.” (Rev 2:11) ❤️
