(Mark 2:9) [Jesus speaking] "…Your sins are now forgiven.”

I came to my first meeting with Jesus as a filthy, sin-covered wretch. My heart was beating fit to burst as the preacher spoke, and although I didn’t really understand everything that he was saying at the time, ‘something’ in me responded, and I found myself being powerfully drawn with chords of love to the one place in the whole universe where I could be set free from the ever-present howling scream of my guilty conscience. In the profound silence that followed, I lifted my tear-soaked eyes and saw the One who made it all possible—Jesus, the Awesome Christ of GOD.

Absolute Joy filled my heart at the encounter, and I knew, that I knew, that I KNEW, that I had been forgiven and ACCEPTED.

As I said earlier, this memory was of my first meeting. In the 40 subsequent years that I have walked this narrow path, I have often followed my fleshly desires and deviated from the way many (far too many) times.

And yet, whenever the cords of love draw too tight to bear, I re-turn. Instead of rejection and deserved damnation, He continues to show me unmerited Grace and absolute Forgiveness—Jesus always helps me to stand before GOD again, clean ...!

People constantly seem to be peddling sure-fire prayers. Well, here's one that definitely works (when spoken from the heart)! “GOD, please forgive me...”

GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “Come to Me, my dear Child, and I will show you how to break free and live! Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.” ❤️
