What breaks your heart? What tears at your Soul?

We know from the Bible that after this episode, Jesus wept. This rejection broke His heart, and it still does today. In fact, unbelief and rejection always break GOD's heart because He knows the ultimate consequences. He's only too aware that those in bondage to sin patterns and addictions not only destroy their own lives but also crush the families who love them.

This reminds me of a time when I travelled to REMAR in Spain with my friend and Pastor Les Mitchell; while there, I saw for myself the devastating effect drugs had on the individual and those who loved them.

We were chaperoned by a wonderful young man who told us that he once was a senior figure in the Police force, but that one stupid evening with heroin had seen him lose his wife, children, family and job.

We accompanied him as he and his team drove a food van to a spot just off the motorway by a large looming mountain. As the van horn sounded, a host of broken humans began descending the mountain like zombies—young and old, men and women, some partially clothed, most naked. I had never seen anything like it in my life, and I don't mind telling you that all my fuses started blowing, and I lost it and broke down crying.

So, I ask you, my brothers and sisters, what breaks your heart? What tears at your Soul?

Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death.” (Rev 2:11)
