Make your life a prayer. (1 Thes 5:16)

I’m just re-re-re-reading Wendy Alec’s (of GOD TV) life-changing series ‘Chronicles of Brothers’, and if I can take one thing from it, is the way that she beautifully portrays prayer as a magnificent heart-blessed, two-way dialogue.

As I delve deep into the pages, my heart constantly tells me that I, too, would LOVE to hear GOD’s voice like that - even though the Bible consistently tells us that He’s always speaking to all that have ears to hear …!

This got me thinking about the ears of my heart, there are so many voices crying out for attention every day, and I know that I have already judged most of them as no more than nuisance white noise and, as such, closed my ears – so maybe GOD’s speaking to us on the same wavelength as those I’ve shut out - if that’s the case, then maybe I’m just not listening?

Father, please forgive my hardness. Open my heart to hear what YOU are listening to so that I can hear Your Voice.
