(Colossians 3:9) "Don't lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him."
Today, the Lord got me thinking about lying, its adverse effect on us, and how to overcome it.
The Bible explicitly condemns lying in numerous passages: Leviticus 19:11, "Do not lie to one another," and Proverbs 12:22, "The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy."
Revelation 21:8 Goes on to state, "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Please pray with me, “Heavenly Father, I come before You and Your Throne of Mercy with a humble and contrite heart as the One who forgives all sins to pray for forgiveness for all my lying and deception. Your Word says that lying is detestable to You, yet I have often fallen into this sin. Lord, my heart is now ready for renewal. Please help me.“ Amen
