(Genesis 3:8) "...and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God."
Today, the Lord got me thinking about why people try to hide from His Presence.
Perhaps we want to hide our sin, or our desire, or our pain, or our shame? Or perhaps we feel disappointed in ourselves and believe that GOD is also disappointed in us?
Or maybe we feel bitter about what GOD tells us to do because we think we know better. So, just like Jonah, we run from GOD because we don't want to go to (our Nineveh), a place that seems dull, boring or difficult in our life.
The thing is, the things you hide from GOD, you will hide from other people, too. They go together. And when you are transparent with the Lord, you will be less terrified of being seen by others. This is how life works.

Please pray with me, “Holy Father, I know that you know me intimately. Lord, I want to be transparent in Your sight. Open my eyes to see the world as you see it, and give me a heart that is receptive to your Word. Help me to trust in your guidance, even when it leads me down paths that are difficult or unfamiliar.“ Amen
