(John 4:24) [Jesus speaking] "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

My friend Terry was a great musician. He once told me a story about preparing for worship one Sunday morning with the music group. As they were tuning and setting up their instruments, a lady approached them with her young daughter, who happened to have Down's syndrome, and asked if she could sing along and play her tambourine with them as they worshipped.

Terry said that throughout the worship, the girl struggled to keep a beat with her tambourine, and the 'noise' she made was terrible. In effect, the music group couldn't wait to finish the worship!

Then, as he sat down in the congregation, the Lord spoke to him, saying, "She worships me in spirit and in truth. The rest of you just want to sound good...!"

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. (Matthew 7:1)

GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “Come to Me, my dear Child, and I will show you how to break free and live! Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.” 

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Baby Owen, Baby Pasley, Arianna, Miriam, Barbara, Angela, Tina, Cathy, Louise, Betty, Maria, Lorenzo, Matteo, Romeo, Sebastian, Nathaniel, Marissa, Ron, Amy, Franca, Daniela, Kristina, Paul, Roger, Alastair, Ian, Alex, Alexander, Lynette, James, Keiron, Samantha, Jay, Liliana, Maria, Susanna, and those you bring to our minds right now… Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
