(Romans ‭6:7) "Obviously, a dead person is incapable of sinning. And if we were co-crucified with the Anointed One, we know that we will also share in the fullness of his life. And we know that since the Anointed One has been raised from the dead to die no more, his resurrection life has vanquished death and its power over him is finished. For by his sacrifice he died to sin’s power once and for all, but he now lives continuously for the Father’s pleasure.

So let it be the same way with you! Since you are now joined with him, you must continually view yourselves as dead and unresponsive to sin’s appeal while living daily for God’s pleasure in union with Jesus, the Anointed One."

I remember accompanying my friend Pastor Les Mitchell out to Madrid to visit REMAR Ministries - a place where the pastors and their wives had themselves been rescued by GOD from a life of destruction by drug and alcohol addiction. Each turned their lives around and, recognising how much GOD had done for them, dedicated their lives to helping others in the same predicament.

We watched in awe as these people would go out each day and night searching for people who were bound in the heavy chains of drug and alcohol addiction, bringing them back to their homes and praying, continually cleaning up the vomit and bedding. At the same time, their 'love' helped these damaged souls get through 'cold turkey' (the abrupt and complete cessation of taking a drug to which one is addicted).

Yes, the people had free will to either stay or go, but REMAR had a fabulous 70% success rate because GOD worked alongside them to get them back on a healthy, non-dependent path.

Don’t doubt (and do without) – only believe! (Mark 5:36)

GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “Come to Me, my dear Child, and I will show you how to break free and live! Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.” ❤️
