1 John 5:13) … how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he’s listening."
THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS ...
I once heard a testimony of a young woman from a Christian family who got in with a bad crowd and ran far away from home. For years, her parents heard very little about her, only that she was living a very toxic life. She’d gotten into drugs, been in and out of trouble with the law, etc.
She had a younger brother, and while she was at home, she bullied him mercilessly to the point where he grew to hate her. In fact, his hatred grew from boiling hot to cold and rock hard.
She left home as soon as she could and never returned. Her believing parents subsequently died broken-hearted, never seeing or hearing from her again...
One day, her brother, who was now a Christian speaker, was being interviewed by a Christian counsellor, and he let slip that he had a wayward sister. Hearing GOD, the counsellor wouldn’t (couldn’t) let go and, after many hours, got the young man to the point where the cold, hard hatred within him began to boil and peek and ultimately spewed out of him like a volcano.
What he didn’t know is that at that very hour, he was wrestling with forgiveness; his sister had had enough and was trying to kill herself with an overdose!
Miracle of miracles, as he forgave her, she was found by a Christian Pastor who prayed her through to Salvation. She is totally set free and she and her brother are reunited and reconciled.
GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “Stop stressing and listen to My Voice—My love will guide you. Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.”
