(Ezekiel 11:20) “I’ll give you a new heart. I’ll put a new spirit in you. I’ll cut out your stone heart and replace it with a red-blooded, firm-muscled heart. Then you’ll obey my statutes and be careful to obey my commands. You’ll be my people! I’ll be your God!”
THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS ...
Once again, the Lord has led me to a (very familiar) Scripture...
And (once again) He faithfully speaks and reminds us all that providing a new heart and new spirit is a tremendous Gift of Grace.
In contrast, once we have this 'new heart' and 'new spirit', the discharge of the consequence (i.e., obeying His statutes and commands/ directions) is most definitely down to us!
However, the seeming 'impossible' quickly becomes 'possible' when, as the old song directs, we "Trust and obey, for there's no other way, To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey..."
GOD, who created all our hearts, says, “It is never too late for Me. Stop stressing and listen to My Voice—My love will guide you. Do your part and trust in Me enough to honour Me.”
Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve those who are sick amongst us—Amy, Daniela, Kristina, Paul, Roger, Alastair, Ian, Alex, Alexander, Lynette, James, Keiron, Samantha, Jay, Liliana, Maria, Susanna, and those you bring to our minds right now… Please grant your healing power to those who minister to all the sick among us so they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care. We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
