"...I will go to him [when I die], but he will not return to me.”(2 Sam 12:23 AMP).
I was asking GOD what I should write today, and the novel The Shack by Wm P Young came to mind. To most, it's a marmite book (you either love it or loathe it)—personally, I love it!
Maybe it's because I easily identify with the main character, Mackenzie, as my earthly father, who was also far from perfect, could only express his hurt by physically hurting our family.
Anyway, my point is that when the Holy Spirit opens Mac's eyes, he sees a piece of Heaven, one where he meets his earthly father again. (Surprise, surprise—the bad guy's in Heaven)!
I watched in awe as all the hate, anger, and yukky stuff buried deep within Mac began to surface and melt away as his earthly father fell at his feet and begged forgiveness. I watched (and cried) empathetically as True Love cleansed Mac, enabling the hurt little boy buried deep within to open up and forgive completely, run into his earthly father's embrace, and finally be made whole.
And that's not the end, either. The 'wholeness' Mac has received means that the way he used to treat himself, his wife, his children, and everyone else within his life circle must also be addressed—his healing opens up a new dimension of hope and joy for everyone.
As usual, I've asked the Lord what He wants to say to you, and after reading the above, I believe He led me here.
"I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. (John 15:5)
“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death.” (Rev 2:11)
