“Behold, I am laying in Zion [your life] a chosen stone, a precious (honored) Cornerstone, And he who believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will never be disappointed [in his expectations].” (1 Peter 2:6)
For context, there was a time when I was a Bible college student, and the Teacher told us to separate into our own private spaces and write a brief (10-minute) sermon.
I knew immediately what I wanted to say, so I quickly zoomed off to the library, where I gathered as many ancient tomes as I could and, once secluded at my desk, began poring over them, searching for the most obscure Greek Latin and Aramaic meanings.
I'd no sooner begun my avid notations when I heard the door swing open behind me, and feeling a breeze on my neck, I turned around. I saw no one, but I suddenly got an immense urge to close each of the old books one by one. Sulking, I was still slamming them shut and grumbling when I heard His beloved voice, "Don't do it like this, son. You're only trying to make yourself look good. Keep it simple, write just what I tell you and allow Me to move within the people."
So, now you know where I'm coming from. I've asked the Lord what He wants to say to you, and He says that this is your communion with Him today. Please, Lord, open all our hearts to receive it.
"... you are [to GOD] a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. Once you were not a people [at all], but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." (1 Peter 2:9)
“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death.” (Rev 2:11)
