Day 139 – Warren Wysocki

"Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” (Jas 5:16)

Once again, today's message comes after receiving 'difficult' conversations.

1). My friend's father-in-law (his name is Bill, and I’ve posted about him before) seems to be in the final period of his final semester on this Earth. From what I understand, he is pretty ill, and as the hospital can do no more for him, he has been sent home to be with his family. His daughter and my friend are with him daily, loving on him and praying that he would open his heart and give what's left of his existence to Jesus. Listening to my friend’s broken heart as he talked reminded me of my time before I ‘knew’ Christ Jesus. I knew I’d done wrong in my life (very wrong), and although I’d ‘heard’ the Gospel of Love, Mercy, Grace and Forgiveness, I couldn’t accept it. Everything in me believed that I deserved to go to hell and that I should at least go to Purgatory and somehow atone for my sins myself through this terrible near-hell experience. Unfortunately, this path spits in the face of the Lord and tells him that what he achieved for us all on the Cross wasn’t enough and that ‘I’ need to do something more - which, as you can understand, is absolute rubbish! (GOD knows this family’s needs - prayers, please)

2). Another friend let me know that he'd just received news that the son of his dear friend had died quite suddenly – he was only 40! My friend doesn’t know the circumstances or whether the man knew Christ – only GOD knows. (GOD knows this family’s needs - prayers, please)

3). I was just made aware by a dear lady that her son has been diagnosed with terrible mental health issues. To put this into perspective, research from the EU suggests that mental health is on the rise and that even before the pandemic, around 84 million individuals in the European Union grappled with mental health disorders—that’s roughly one in six! COVID-19, post-pandemic economic downturns, environmental crises and geopolitical tensions have only exacerbated these challenges – in other words, it was already terribly bad and now it’s just getting worse!

So, who is up to the task of interceding with GOD for us and setting us all free from life’s challenges? “The Lord has sworn, And will not change His mind or regret it, ‘You (Christ) are a Priest forever’”). And so [because of the oath’s greater strength and force] Jesus has become the certain guarantee of a better covenant [a more excellent and more advantageous agreement; one that will never be replaced or annulled]… Jesus holds His priesthood permanently and without change, because He lives on forever.Therefore, He is able also to save forever (completely, perfectly, for eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede and intervene on their behalf [with God]. (Heb 7:21)

Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death.” (Rev 2:11)
