I wrote recently about how this Scripture became alive to me. I also mentioned that I really felt the Lord asking me to ask YOU the question - what does it mean to you?

Here's another magnificent response (anonymously donated by a dear brother from Italy).

"This night, as has often happened in recent nights, I woke up at 3AM due to nervousness in my legs.

I wasn't able to go back to sleep until 4.30AM, and during that time I was awake and read that very chapter of the Gospel of John, wondering if I had ever really been brought to Jesus by the Father.

The question (not the first time) is based on the fact that, on several important aspects of my character, for which I have desired and asked for a change, this change has not arrived.

I thought about the many difficulties of this journey that began 22 years ago. At that moment, I didn't even know how to pray, neither for myself nor for some friends who needed it at this moment.

It often helps me to think that, as I read in a book by Michael Wells, only those who are born again are attacked by the temptation of not being born again.

Little by little, I managed to fall back to sleep, praying with my thoughts rather than with words, reminding myself that every dialogue with the Lord, whether in prayer, thanksgiving or praise, must be simple."
