If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. (James 1:5)

This scripture has always jumped out at me. It screams out, ‘Don’t quit, son and don’t let your circumstances determine your faith in Me to help you …!’

The next verse is even harder … People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.” (James‬ ‭1:6-8‬)

We've all learned the age-old trick of 'turning on the tears' to get what we want. The thing is, it doesn't work with our Heavenly Father, as He knows what and why and sees right through all our schemes.

The bottom line remains firm, though - Holy Spirit, please help me not to panic and to trust you in all my situations. You tell me that you’ll keep me in perfect peace if my mind is settled on you – if I trust you.

Please speak with me and help me focus on you today. Please take my thoughts and words and bless them for your glory. Amen.
