(Jesus speaking) “… This is what I want you to do: Ask the Father for whatever is in keeping with the things I’ve revealed to you.

Ask in my name, according to my will, and he’ll most certainly give it to you. Your joy will be a river overflowing its banks!

“I’ve used figures of speech in telling you these things. Soon I’ll drop the figures and tell you about the Father in plain language. Then you can make your requests directly to him in relation to this life I’ve revealed to you.

I won’t continue making requests of the Father on your behalf. I won’t need to. Because you’ve gone out on a limb, committed yourselves to love and trust in me, believing I came directly from the Father, the Father loves you directly.” (John‬ ‭16:23)

I almost ran out of the door when I attended my first 'prayer group!' How could these people do this - not just pray out loud but actually open up their hearts this way!

They unashamedly bared their all, and instead of diminishing in the eyes of those around them - they grew even taller in stature!

My pride really got in the way at first, and I really struggled with opening up my heart and praying out-loud at first, (believing that my prayers wouldn’t get past the ceiling), so I always pushed my prayer requests to an old lady who I felt had real access to GOD.

Like an Eagle nurturing her young, she lovingly discipled me. Of course, she knew what I was doing, and yet she remained amazingly gracious towards me. Instead of berating me, she loved me and continued to lead me very gently into GOD’s Presence, where – to my absolute surprise, I came to realise that prayer was simply about two-way dialogue.

It was in that beautiful 'heart place' that my Heavenly Father convinced me that He loved me, and being with Him, I found my completeness - my EVERYTHING…!
