“When you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you” (Jeremiah 29:13-14).

I was flying back from Italy a couple of days ago. As we got closer to the UK and the colder weather, the plane started to wobble and shake so badly that it set off the four babies that were on board.

People will tell you that babies can't clear the air pressure building up in their ear canal and that they need to suck on something to clear it, but no one seemed to be telling these unfortunate mothers. I was strapped into a seat in row 3, and they were somewhere way back in the 20s, so the heart-wrenching noises of crying continued.

Yes, I was praying, "Lord, please be with these babies ..." for a long, (very long) time, when finally the Lord said, "Is that it? Is that the best you can pray for them? No heart, no emotion, just a frustrated cry for help - and that's not actually for the babies or their parents - but for you and 'your' peace?

... 'Yes,' I was ashamed of myself at this rebuke and 'yes', I immediately closed my eyes and opened my heart to intercede for them - in fact, 10 seconds into my intercession for them, Peace descended like a cloud. The plane was still wobbling around like a birthday jelly, but the immediate silence was profound!
