God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. (‭‭Psalm‬ ‭51:12)

A couple of conversations recently showed me that none of us needs to look very far for people going through incredible stresses and strains, mind-numbing mental anguish, incomprehensible physical pain, terrifying uncertainties and hope-crushing chaos.

And while I’m listening, I find that I could easily disappear down the same rabbit hole of despair unless I hang on to Jesus.

For me, I (constantly) have to remind myself that GOD, through Jesus, could restore Lazarus from a four-day-old pile of dead and rotting mush to perfect life and health, and then hope arises.

Once again, I rally my hope, and I choose to deny the facts and to believe instead that He can easily do another Genesis and transform the chaos that I see and hear into the beautiful Eden of Perfect Peace.

My advice to you is to not be so preoccupied with the 'how' ...

"While he was still talking, some people came from the leader’s house and told him, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher anymore?” Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the leader, “Don’t listen to them; just trust me.” ... He clasped the girl’s hand and said, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, get up.” At that, she was up and walking around! (Mark 5:35)
