My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God’s Spirit. Then you won’t feed the compulsions of selfishness…

… what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity.

We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. (Gal 5:22)

There have been so many times in my life that I've screamed out, “I just can’t cope with this situation anymore!” Times that I’ve wanted to quit - searched for - reached for, screamed out for, and demanded to have access to the ‘eject button!’

Sometimes, my selfishness explodes, and my flesh gets the better of me ... and then there are other times when I let the Holy Spirit develop a willingness to stick with things. His compassion grows within my heart. My fear and anger dissipate, and I end up seeing GOD in action.

Thank you for your gracious patience with me, Lord.
