… God in his wisdom took delight in using what the world considered stupid— preaching, of all things!—to bring those who trust him into the way of salvation. (‭‭1 Cor‬ 1:21)

I must admit that when I first came across a preacher, my initial thoughts were not very nice. But as they opened their hearts wide and spoke it was as if GOD’s light flooded through the darkness in me, exposing all my stupidity, bitterness, ugliness and shame.

I felt ashamed and hopeless until the realisation dawned that the Light wasn't there to gloat over me but to lead me back home to my Father, GOD.

O God of Eternal Great Victory, grant the lost grace for repentance. Lead these men and women to the knowledge of the truth which is only found in You. Open their spiritual eyes so that they may know that life is beyond the physical and that earth is a place where we prepare for eternity. Cause them to hit rock bottom in areas where their hearts are hardened so that they can listen to Your voice and follow it. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
