Jesus looked over his shoulder and said to them, “What are you after?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “Where are you staying?”

It’s amazing how many people actually want to believe that GOD in Jesus actually exists (but feel a lot better if he was somehow boxed in somewhere and wheeled out as and when we need his help … like the genie in Aladdin!

The older I get, though, the more I see that man, in his independence, has always struggled with the concept of Emmanuel (GOD with us) because then all our accepted peccadillos, white lies and idiosyncratic traits that we've convinced ourselves to be relatively unimportant, will be open to his Light and true interpretation.

You'd think that because Jesus knows this he'd just walk on past when we (finally) ask him, “Where are you staying?” but his response remains constantly Faithful - ‘... I want to live in your heart.’
