… GOD disciplines you in the same ways a father disciplines his child. (Deu 8:5)

My heart was still saddened for the lady I met on Friday (see yesterday's Post), and as I prayed for her, I felt the Lord draw me to the darkness that had infiltrated the family through her husband ...!

She described him as being in his middle 80s, grumpy to the point of unapproachable rudeness, angry (all the time), bitter and twisted, and just spending all his time drinking heavily ...!

So, putting two and two together, we can see why his middle-aged daughters have turned out as they are. There are so many broken people in the world today who never knew the love – or affirmation of their fathers.

The trouble is that pitying them or leaving them alone won’t help them; only GOD’s Perfect Love brings Light into the dark, hopeless places of our existence.

Holy Spirit, flow in and through me and those reading this today to touch those in our sphere of influence - those who need You today. Amen.
