Distress that drives us to God does that. It turns us around. It gets us back in the way of salvation. We never regret that kind of pain.

But those who let distress drive them away from God are full of regrets, end up on a deathbed of regrets. (2 Cor 7:10)

It appears that many kids brought up in the Church (as well as some adults) are walking away from the Church because all they’ve heard is spouted dogma and religious rhetoric from a law-based heart full of insecurity.

Jesus, on the other hand, when faced with a woman actually caught in the act of adultery, DIDN’T just look around and pick up a stone as well – even though it was the Law!

His loving approach actually freed both the damaged AND the antagonists!

Lord, bring your light into the darkness of our hearts and show us the meaning of your New Covenant - Your Living and Better Way!
