… you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God.

And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!” (Rom 8:15)

So many of us live under a constant cloud of discouragement; we end up so confused that we repress everything in the hope of finding peace – the bad as well as the good!

All of this stems from our feelings of unacceptability, and so to try and compensate, we find it easier to forgive and love others than we do ourselves.

Child of the Living GOD, this ‘orphan’ spirit was CAST OUT OF OUR LIVES when we welcomed Jesus, the Christ of GOD, to come and live in us - DO NOT believe its lies and accept it back!

Lord, I choose to believe the Truth of what You say rather than my feelings (which are always subject to change anyway), and this day 'choose' NOT to feel orphaned - and as You rise up within me, my spirit will join Yours in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!”
